Below are some of my family’s go to outdoor gear that we always use when out on the trail.
Hydration Pack–-One of the best hiking investments to make for shorter day hikes is this 50 oz CamelBak Hydration Pack. It’s lightweight and has a really good fit. CamelBak is our go to for hydration packs.
Hydro Flask— This 32 oz water bottle is amazing. I will fill this up with ice and water before heading to work and by the end of day it still has over half its ice. I use it daily. For shorter hikes when a hydration pack is overkill I will bring this with me and even in 100+ temperatures it will still keep my water ice cold.
Sea to Summit Aeros Pillow— So the CEO recently bought this hiking pillow and I must say, it almost caused a divorce. I did not what to give it back. I have never used a hiking pillow (but due to my advanced age and other things) I will be purchasing another of these soon. It easly inflates and is very light. Perfect for hiking.
GSI Outdoors Crossover Kitchen Set— This is my go to lightweight kitchen set. Being a wanna be chef, when backpacking I just don’t want to eat ramen every night. This set allows me some freedom to be creative without sacrificing weight. Give it a try and you will love it.
Klymit Static V Lightweight Sleeping Pad— So I was never one to bring a sleeping pad or a pillow camping. I mean, I’m roughing it right? Well as the years add up, injury after injury make it harder to even stand up and the CEO purchased one I am beginning to change my tune. This pad is lightweight and very quick to inflate and very comfortable to sleep on.
